REGARDING RECYCLING IN CRAWFORD COUNTY

Due to the rising costs associated with recycling and the drop in the value of recyclable material, the Crawford County Recycling Council has determined it to be potentially more economical for each township/city to determine the course of their own recycling efforts.  Each municipality will decide whether or not to continue recycling and whether or not to continue the county recycling surcharge in order to fund the recycling program.

Grayling Township Recycling Center will accept recyclable material from residents of Grayling Township ONLY. Residents will be required to show their green and white compactor pass to enter and use the compacting/recycling services at the center.  The recycling center hours will remain the same.  This policy change impacts recycling ONLY.  Trash removal will remain the same in all municipalities (township/city).  Contact your municipality with any questions.

The City is currently researching options to offer recycling for city residents.  Residents will be notified as soon as the information is available.
