Joining a Committee
City of Grayling Boards and Commissions
A City the size of Grayling cannot operate with only full-time paid staff. Many concerned and capable citizens working on a volunteer basis are necessary to carry out all of the City functions. These Boards and Commissions have been established to allow Citizens to participate in government. They also help ensure that City government runs smoothly.
As public entities, these groups are subject to the provisions of the Open Meetings Act and the Freedom of Information Act. They come under the same scrutiny as any other part of government.
