Any resident of the City of Grayling that is on the permanent ballot list has been mailed a ballot.

Michigan has no-excuse absentee voting, meaning any registered voter can request one.

🗳️ How to request your ballot

You have a few options:

1. Request online

• Go through the Michigan Voter Information Center Michigan’s voter system at https://mvic.sos.state.mi.us/Voter/Index
• You can apply and track your ballot once mailed

2. Request through the City Clerk

• Call, email,  or visit the clerk at Grayling City Hall
• Ask for an Absent Voter (AV) application
• Fill it out and return it (mail, drop-off, or in person)

3. In person (same-day help)

• The clerk’s office can:
• Issue your ballot
• Accept your completed ballot
• Help with registration if needed

If you signed up for permanent absentee voting:

• Your ballot is automatically mailed when available
• You don’t need to reapply each election

• Ballots are mailed weeks before elections once available
• You can still request one up to the Friday before Election Day (by mail/online) or in person up to 4 PM the day before (state rules)
