SIDEWALK SNOW REMOVAL

The City of Grayling is seeking quotes for sidewalk snow removal. The contracted sidewalk snow removal shall consist of 3 “routes”.  The routes are as follows in order of priority: 

1. Entire sidewalk from face of buildings to curb and 4’ from curb to center of Michigan Avenue. Both sides of Michigan Avenue from the Courthouse entrance to Spruce Street. Both sides of Peninsular Street between the alleyways. South side of Spruce Street from Michigan Avenue to end of Laundromat. Both sides of Norway Street from Michigan Avenue to M-72 West. This work must be completed by 5am after every accumulation of 2” or more of snow in a 24-hour period.
2. Both sides of State Street from I-75 Business Loop to Maple Street.  Both sides of Madsen Street from State Street to Brink Street. Both sides of Maple Street from State Street to Ottawa Street. Both sides of Ionia Street from Maple Street to the Elementary School. Both sides of Ottawa Street between Chestnut Street and Erie Street. Both sides of Plum Street from Michigan Avenue to Ionia Street. South side of Erie Street from Michigan Avenue to Ottawa Street. Both sides of Michigan Avenue from downtown to North Down River Road. Work must be completed daily after an accumulation of 2” or more in a 24-hour period. 
3. Both sides of I-75 Business Loop from Ramada to North Down River Road, to include all crosswalks. North side of M-72 East from Burger King to Brink Street.  Work must be completed daily after an accumulation of 2” or more in a 24-hour period.

 Care must be taken to protect both public and private property.  Pedestrians must be yielded to.  No snow shall be placed in the street except along Michigan Avenue between Spruce Street and the Courthouse entrance and not after 5am.
